What Everybody Ought to Know About Boundary Surveys
Land Surveys by their very name sound technical, specialist and like they involve a high skill level, and they do. Land surveys involve producing highly accurate drawings of land and buildings.
Land surveys can be made up of many other surveys, these can include topographic surveys, laser scanning surveys and boundary surveys. If you have ever argued with a neighbour about were the garden fence should go, who owns a tree or anything that involves the crossing of a boundary, save yourself a lot of time and effort and commission a boundary survey.
Boundary surveys can accurately map out boundaries before or after land has been built on. This can prevent future altercations and prevent disputes before they have even begun. The reason everybody needs to know about boundary surveys is that they can save costly court cases and save time by providing a definitive answer to disputes that can drag on for weeks, months and in some cases even years.
The final important consideration that needs to be undertaken when going ahead with a boundary survey is to ensure it is carried out by a qualified surveyor. In the UK look for surveying companies that are members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. This is the professional body that governs over surveyors and is a seal of quality that will ensure the survey is carried out in a professional manner that meets the high standards expected by the RICS.
